Direct Realty Rental Application Updates

Direct Realty sends low-volume, non-marketing SMS/text messages only to rental applicants and participating real estate agents who separately opt in. Messages relate to Direct Realty’s rental application workflow and may include Tenant Selection Criteria signing links and status updates, application-group status updates, confirmation that required Tenant Selection Criteria have been completed, rental-application authorization notices, and secure rental-application links.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.

SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of submitting a form, applying for, or renting a property.

How Real Estate Agents Opt In

Real estate agents who register rental clients may provide their own mobile number and separately choose the optional, unchecked SMS/text consent checkbox on the Register Rental Clients form. Consent applies only to the agent’s own mobile number and cannot be used to opt applicants in.

How Rental Applicants Opt In

An applicant is never automatically opted in because a real estate agent provided the applicant’s phone number. If the applicant has not already personally opted in, the applicant may choose the separate, unchecked SMS/text consent checkbox when accessing the applicant’s secure Tenant Selection Criteria invitation. The secure invitation is unique to that applicant and is not publicly accessible.

Consent Records and Opt-Outs

Direct Realty records the mobile number, consent status, date/time, and source of consent. If the mobile number is changed, prior SMS consent for the old number is not carried over to the new number. Recipients may reply STOP at any time to cancel future messages or HELP for assistance.
